Q. Do I need to have a current card issued by the American Heart Association to take a renewal course?

A.You must have a current, unexpired card issued by the AHA in order to take the renewal course. This does not include cards that say they follow the AHA guidelines. The card must be issued by the AHA.

Q.How long will it take to get my certifications?

A.Once you complete the course, all certifications are issued within 48 hours. If you don’t receive a card within 48 hours, reach out to us and we can assist you.

Q.Will you come to my location?

A.We currently do not travel for single person classes. We will travel for group classes booked through us. In order for us to teach at your location you must have adequate space, something for us to play the videos on, and must be indoors. We do charge a Provider fee for any group classes that we travel to.

Q.Do you offer refunds?

A.We do not offer refunds at all. You may reschedule your class with at least 24 hours notice. Rescheduling fees will apply.

Q.How do I complete the online portion of a HeartCode class?

A.Students can register for a HeartCode BLS courses at https://shop.vitalipartners.com/#a_aid=Brewsters_training  Under the student section. The HeartCode online course is administered by the American Heart Association. While we can assist with the process of registration, all other issues should be directed to the American Heart Association.

Q. Am I able to reschedule my appointment/class?

A. You may reschedule your class as long as it is 24 hours or more before the start of your class. There is a $15 rescheduling fee. If you are within 24 hours, you will not be able to reschedule your class. If you do not show up for your class, it would be considered a “no call, no show”.

Q.What are your mask policies?

A. We currently do not require masks but continue to follow all state guidelines. All of our instructors are vaccinated.

Q.Are books included in the cost of the course?

A. Books are only included in the instructor course. For all other courses, you must purchase the books separately here https://shop.vitalipartners.com/#a_aid=Brewsters_training

Q.What is the difference between HeartSaver and HeartSaver Total?

A.The basic HeartSaver includes optional videos within the program. HeartSaver is usually suitable for most jobs. HeartSaver Total requires you to watch the optional content and makes it OSHA complaint. If you are unsure with which you need, contact your place of employment.

HeartSaver basic is normally fine for most daycares, sports programs, cub scouts, and similar programs.

HeartSaver Total is normally ideal for construction workers, factories, and similar locations.
